Find My Location Now

See Your Current Location on Google Maps and Apple Maps

Detect your exact position once, then jump straight into Google Maps or Apple Maps — centered on your real coordinates, not a manually dropped pin.

Your Location

Nothing detected yet — your location stays private until you ask.

Click “Detect My Location” and allow the permission prompt your browser shows. We only read your position after you approve it — nothing runs in the background.

How to Open Your Location in Google Maps

  1. Click “Detect My Location” above and allow the permission prompt.
  2. Once your coordinates appear, click "Open in Google Maps."
  3. Google Maps opens — in the app on mobile, or a new browser tab on desktop — centered exactly on your detected coordinates.

How to Open Your Location in Apple Maps

  1. Detect your location the same way as above.
  2. Click "Open in Apple Maps."
  3. On iPhone or Mac, the Apple Maps app opens directly; elsewhere, Apple Maps' web version opens in your browser.

Why Use This Instead of Just Opening the Maps App?

Both Google Maps and Apple Maps can show "your location" natively as a blue dot — but that requires opening the app, waiting for its own GPS fix, and doesn't give you the raw coordinates, accuracy figure, or a written address to copy anywhere else. This tool captures your exact coordinates once, shows you the number, the address, and the map together, and then hands that same precise point to whichever map app you actually want to use — or lets you copy or share it as plain text instead of a screenshot.

Sharing Your Location With Someone Else

After detecting your location, “Share Location” uses your device’s native share sheet where available (iOS, Android, and most modern browsers) to send your coordinates and a Google Maps link directly to a messaging app, email, or any other app on your device. If native sharing isn't supported, the same text is copied to your clipboard instead, ready to paste anywhere.

Curious what the raw numbers mean? See latitude and longitude. Want the written address too? See find my current address.

Google & Apple Maps — FAQ

Will the Google Maps link open the app or the website?

On a phone with the Google Maps app installed, tapping the link opens the app directly, centered on your coordinates. On desktop, or if the app isn't installed, it opens Google Maps in a new browser tab instead.

Do I need the Apple Maps app to use the Apple Maps link?

No — on iPhone or Mac it opens directly in the Apple Maps app if installed; on any other device (Windows, Android, Linux) it opens Apple Maps' web version in your browser instead.

Can I share the map link with someone else?

Yes. Use "Share Location" to open your device's native share sheet (or copy a link) with your coordinates and a Google Maps link included, ready to send over text, email, or any messaging app.
